The door of the enclosure, which is the only fairly intact vestige of the old fortifications, is integrated into a rectangular tower made of bricks and pebbles. It consists of stone columns and is surmounted by a semicircular arc. The passage on the ground floor is vaulted as a cradle and has two loopholes which were used to protect the ditches. The whole seems to date from the end of the 14th century, a period of creation of the Bastide. The roof does not correspond to the original style.
